Terms of Service

  • Services
    • Residential Lawn Maintenance
      • We provide weekly and biweekly lawn maintenance services.
      • Gardening services can be provided in conjunction with lawn maintenance visits or as stand-alone services.
      • We default to mowing lawns at three or four inches high. This looks good for most lawns and can limit the stress of cutting shorter or longer.
      • We string trim (weed whack) lawns around soft edges
      • We edge lawns along concrete and garden beds where appropriate
      • We blow off walkways and driveways around the house
      • We default to using our clients’ yard waste bin. You can call your city’s provider to get the appropriate-sized bin for your property’s needs.
    • Gardening
      • Bush and Tree Trimming and Pruning (up to 12 feet high)
      • Seasonal and storm cleanups
      • Weed Control and Garden Bed Maintenance
        • Planting and Removal
        • Re-edging garden beds
        • We are licensed to use pesticides in Washington State.
    • Debris Disposal
      • We charge for disposal of debris offsite. This is typically done through county transfer stations.
      • We are not a junk or garbage removal company, and do not provide one-off disposal service.
      • Pricing: Yard waste is charged by the bag. Larger loads are charged by the truck bed.
      • For Maintenance Accounts
        • We default to using clients’ yard waste bins.
        • If a yard waste bin is not available, we can dispose of yard waste for maintenance accounts.
      • For Projects
        • If a yard waste bin is available, please let us know. It can be used before potentially needing to take debris offsite.
    • Commercial Landscaping Maintenance
      • Maintain commercial lawns, bushes, trees, garden beds, and parking lots.
      • We will remove used needles from work sites and charge for disposal.
  • Payments
    • Payment can be made by credit card, directly through emailed quotes and invoices or through the customer portal.
    • Maintenance accounts are invoiced on the last day of each month for services provided.
    • Residential maintenance accounts need to have a credit card on file for payments at the end of each month of provided services. Unsuccessful payments suspend services until payment clears. Extra charges can apply after service lapses to get the property in shape
    • Project invoices are due upon receipt. They can be paid directly by clicking the button at the bottom of the emailed invoice and paying by credit card, check, or cash.
    • Projects over $1,000.00 are subject to a 50% deposit before being scheduled.
  • Mondays
    • Estimates and admin are generally done on Mondays.
    • If you would like an estimate, contact us anytime, but please aim to schedule estimate-related property visits to Mondays.
    • If you would like to discuss any account issues, please email us (info at ballignerlandscaping.com) and allow us until Monday to respond.
  • Hazardous Waste
    • Excrement
      • Excrement can carry disease, and spread disease between properties, people, and pets.
      • We do not pick up animal waste.
      • For mowing, we mow around it. We avoid mowing lawn areas with high concentrations.
      • For Projects, we will contact the client to attempt resolution to avoid affecting the project’s outcome.
      • For maintenance clients, we give warnings about dog excrement, but service can be skipped, suspended, or ended if there is too much to avoid.
      • Non-dog excrement can sometimes be contracted out to be cleaned.
    • Hypodermic Needles
      • Needles will be removed from properties and fees charged for disposal.
